Meaning of ‘Mukhadram’

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by HadithAnswers.com

What is meant by ‘Mukhadram’ in this post?

Answer

A Mukhadram refers to one (Muslim) who did not meet Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) despite living during the era of Jahiliyyah (the pre- Islamic age) as well as the Prophetic era.

This applies equally whether he accepted Islam during the lifetime of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) or after that.

For example: Sayyiduna Uwais ibn ‘Amir al-Qarani (rahimahullah).

(Muqaddimah Ibnus-Salah, pg.303 and Sharhun-Nukhbah, pg.113)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best,
