Is the following Hadith authentic?
Sayyiduna Anas (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that none was dearer to the Sahabah (radiyallahu ‘anhum) than Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), yet, when they saw him they did not stand up knowing his dislike for this.”
Answer
Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith and has declared it authentic (hasanun sahih).
(Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2754)
Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) disliked this due to his humility.
