The reward for offering Salah seated is halved

What is the difference in reward for offering Salah while standing and while seated?

Answer

Sayyiduna ‘Imran ibn Husayn (radiyallahu ‘anhu) says, “I asked Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) regarding the Salah of a person while seated. He said, ‘It is better if he offers Salah while standing. Whoever offers Salah sitting down, will receive only half the reward of someone standing and whoever reads Salah lying down, receives only half the reward of someone who prays seated.”
