Remember Allah when you become angry

What is the grade of this Hadith Qudsi?

” O son of Adam! When you get angry, remember Me. In this way, when I become angry, I will remember you [with My forgiveness] and will not destroy you among those who will be destroyed. If you are oppressed then be patient, [I will be] a better assistant for you then you will be for yourself”

Answer

Imam Abu Nu’aym (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Talq ibn Habib (rahimahullah) who says these words were recorded in the Injil. It is therefore classified as a historical narration.

(Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 3 pg. 65. Also see Kanzul ‘Ummal, Hadith: 7718 and 7719)

These words should be quoted as reported, i.e, as a historical narration and not as a Hadith of Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam).

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
