When we buy some electronics like mobile , fridge, washing machine, etc…. the company offers us to buy an extended warranty…. for example….. if a mobile phone costs Rs 10000 and the warranty is 1 year… the company tells us to pay 1000 extra and they extend the warranty from 1 year to 2 years or 3 years….. is this lawful to take this type of warranty…is this like insurance…Please guide me regarding the same.

This is lawful, as it does not carry the condition of insurance (interest and gambling). However, afterwards there must not be done any separate dealing of extra warranty.
