Can Hanafi in Saudi combine Zuhr/Asr & Maghrib/Isha while bus traveling due to cost?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am a follower of Hanafi madhhab living in Saudi Arabia. Here, if we take a bus for travel, the drivers generally do not stop for Asr and Maghrib prayers, since they and majority of travelers are following other imams and pray Zuhr and Asr together as well as Maghrib and Isha together during travel. This even happens when going for Umrah. Other modes of travel like aeroplane or hired taxi are too expensive. Under such circumstances, is it permissible for me to pray these two salahs together, and if not what is the optimal solution?

According to Hanafi Fiqh, it is not lawful to offer Zuhr and Asar salah together or Maghrib and Isha salah together during travel. However, you may combine them in a way that you offer Zuhr salah in its last time and the Asar in its first time, then it is correct. Likewise, offer the Maghrib in its last time and Isha in its first time, then it shall also be lawful. It is not lawful to combine them in a way that Salah is performed before its time. If the bus driver does not accept it then you will have to make the qaza of one of them and the bus driver shall be responsible for the same.
