Question: Assalamualaikum     Mufti sahib  I am 19 years old, I will be getting married soon. My wife to be is 21 and she  doesn’t have a permanent job. Her contract expires shortly. Question: Assalamualaikum   Is it permissible for a Muslim to marry a Christian or a Jew? There are those Muslims that marry Christians and they say it is permissible. There is an Aayah that says something like this, don’t regard the Jews and Christians as friends, yes it is an answer to my question. We live in a rainbow country, we are exposed to all kinds and types of Muslims. There is an Egyptian brother in our area who understands Qur’an well, but he says there is nothing wrong with this, in fact he married a revert, he told her she does not have to revert as it will be permissible to marry a Christian, but the sister reverted as she loved Islaam. Question: Assalamualaikum I have tried to use the internet but fail constantly and I really need to know if my marriage is valid. I have been told my marriage is invalid because when my Nikah was done I was not asked my permission my dad said yes on my behalf and my husbands dad said yes on his behalf.  I did consent to the marriage and even went to another country to get married I just did not say yes on the day of the Nikah. Question: Assalamualaikum My mother is still alive. 1.  My mother has inherited a house from her mother, we are six sisters and one brother who has already passed on.  He has left behind a son and daughter. If my mother sells the house now and shares the money will my brother’s children inherit from the money? 2.  If my mother passes on and then we sell the house.  Will they then inherit from the proceeds of the sale? 3.  Can my mother use her discretion or is she obliged to give an equal share to all entitled? 4.  My brother passed on and is survived by the following people:     Wife, mother, 1 son, 1 daughter and six sisters.     My brother left assets worth R200 000,00.
