Is Dust from Dried Urine on a Wall Impure?

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Question

There is a lime wall in my house that was impure with urine. It is dry now. I was hanging my clothes, and they rubbed against the wall. There was some dust, not thick but slight, and white with a big line of dust on my clothes. I can see that because my clothes’ color is blue.  When I wore those clothes, I was sweaty, and my hand was wet with water so that dust could be impure because there may be some urine?

My entire body or my clothes are impure now. What should I do?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate. May Allah guide us to that which pleases Him, forgive us for our shortcomings, and alleviate our difficulties, Amin.

We must commence by cautioning you against the possible whispers of the devil (waswasa), who uses tricks to overcomplicate things under the guise of piety, but is merely keeping you preoccupied from Allah.

You need not do anything other than dust yourself and your clothing. The wall was dry and therefore no impurity was passed onto you from the dust. [Shirbini, Mughni Al-Muhtaj]

And Allah knows best.

I pray this is of benefit.
