Hadith for Beards

Answered as per Shafi'i Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by SunniPath Answer Service Team

Currently I am a high school student and my school’s dress code requires males to be clean-shaven. I have told my school that I cannot do this because of religious reasons, and so finally they agreed that they would review the issue if I presented them with proper evidence from holy texts that would justify the need for a beard. I would appreciate it to the utmost degree if you would please tell me some locations in Hadith where the need for a beard is expressed (since I am pretty sure there is no mention of beards in the Quran itself).

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Compassionate.
