Answer:
It is said that a person has been using Quran in performing Ruqyah(Quranic Healing), and if the patient is bewitched , he tells him the name of the person responsible for that ; is it lawful to take his word for it ? Answer: Praise be to Allah, prayer and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah and upon all His Family and Companions : A Muslim must be sure in his heart that only Allah ,The Almighty , can cure and drive any harm away, and that He disposes matters the way He wills. Therefore ,He has forbidden visiting magicians, sorcerers ,fortune-tellers and priests ,or seeking their help even if they claim dealing with Muslim Jinn since this is not based on solid evidence. In addition , it is impossible for a human being to be absolutely sure that the Jinn dealt with is Muslim or Kafir( disbeliever) as they are invisible ,and we do not know their true situation or whether they are truthful or not ?Allah, The Almighty, says : “And that certain individuals of mankind used to seek the protection of certain individuals of the jinn so that they increased them in oppressiveness.”{Al-jinn /6}. Accordingly, it is not permissible for anyone to accuse others of practicing magic save by providing solid evidence which neither applies to the word of Jinn nor that of the person who thinks that he is under some kind of spell. Allah , The Almighty , says in the Holy Quran :” O you who believe, shun much suspicion. Indeed some suspicions are sins.”{Al-Hujurat/12}.Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could only recognize the one who cast a spell on Him through revelation, so how could some sorcerers charge people with something like that while they are the ones to be called to account. Thus, it is incumbent upon a Muslim not to believe such people because doing so leads to unrest within society ,severance of kinship ties and the collapse of families. Moreover , it is not permitted for a Muslim to consult, visit ,or seek Ruqyah from the aforementioned individuals as Ruqyah is just a recitation of verses or chapters from the Holy Quran and making invocations prescribed in Sharia, and this can be done by every Muslim. Do not place all your hopes on the Ruqyah, but instead on the power of Allah ,The Almighty, in order to obtain the benefit of the Ruqyah. On the other hand ,we call on all Muslims to avoid becoming a target for such accusations, and to keep away from acts of magicians and sorcerers such as writing false amulets, protection from the evil eye and all other suspicious acts, so that they do not become a subject of false accusations by others .And Allah knows best.
