Question Can dua be done in any language? Answer If dua is made inside salah e.g. in the sajdah of tahajjud and other nafl, then it should be in Arabic and from the Quran and Sunnah. Outside salah, we can make dua in any language. Allah is the creator of all the languages and he understands all the languages. The aim of dua is to attach the heart with Allah and beg from Him. This can be achieved in any language with which we feel comfortable. Source
