Children’s rows in salah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question

Should kids stand in the back rows or should you let them stand with men in front row? Or if they stand with men then only on the end of the rows?

Answer

During the time of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, children would stand behind the rows of the men, this is the Hanafi, Shafi’ee and Hanbali maslak. However Imam Malik rahmatullahi alayhi says if the children will misbehave then they should be made to stand at the end of the rows so the men can teach them to behave.
