Is there a Hadith that mentions men cannot have pony tails?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question

I heard in a talk by Shaikh Faisal of Jamaica that it is mentioned in the  Hadith, that men can not have pony tails as Shaytan sits at the back and takes a ride. I have never heard this Hadith again and would like to know if this is  Sahih as A often tell friends that they can’t have pony tails. we know that men can not imitate women, but if this is correct, then this gives it a different picture.

Could you please shed some light on this for me. Is this correct?

Answer

I have not come across any such Hadith either. The warning of Tashabbuh is enough to keep a person away from imitating women.
