Assalamalaikum, is it permissible for a blind person to own a guide dog to be able to become more Independent when out of the house?
Yes, Dogs are allowed for genuine reasons such as, sheepdogs, hunting dogs and for security of a property. A guide dog is also for necessity and thus allowed.
