Are all zikr equal or the name of Allah more virtuous?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Tafseer Raheemi

Question:

Assalamualaikum, I was hearing about the importance of dhikr. From what I understand the sheikh stress more important on saying the word Allah alone. Does that mean no other dhikr is important? What about the dhikr 33 time each  subahaanallah, alhamdulillh etc. after farz prayer? And 100 times morning and evening  third Kalima. Or is all dhikr equal? Please clear my doubts. I am a bit confused. May Allah bless you

Answer:

Some zikr is mentioned for special occasions like morning & evening and after Salah. This will be the most virtuous zikr for that particular time. Other than those times, abundance zikr is desirable. Now we can’t keep reciting the third kalima all the time as this would be hard. Therefore, repeating the name of Allah is easy. Do it while keeping in mind that Allah is watching me and Allah is with me. It would be easier to get bay’at and learn zikr from a sheikh.
