Aslamualaikum, please can u tell me the method of istikhara and did the prophet Muhammed PBUH sacrifice 63 goats or 63 camels, or are both mentioned in hadith? Jazakallah maulana sahib.

The Messenger of Allah Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam sacrificed 63 camels on the occasion of Hajjatul Wadaa (The Farewell Hajj), as it comes in the Riwayat of Muslim.
وَالظَّاهِرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحَرَ الْبُدْنَ الَّتِي جَاءَتْ مَعَهُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَكَانَتْ ثَلَاثًا وَسِتِّينَ كَمَا جَاءَ فِي رِوَايَةِ التِّرْمِذِيِّ.
(Sharh Muslim 8/192)
It is also reported that the Prophet of Allah Salla Allahu Alayhi wa Sallam sacrificed two rams in Madinah Munawwarah.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ، ذَبَحَهُمَا بِيَدِهِ، وَسَمَّى وَكَبَّرَ وَوَضَعَ رِجْلَهُ عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا. (Tirmizi 3/136)
