Can Muslims sell idols?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

What if a Muslim sells idols in his shop to lure Hindu customers? 2.Will he be out of the fold of Islam? 3.Can we as a community stop buying from that person?

It is not allowed to keep or to sell idols in any form;
that’s why we should stay away from such things. We should also try to discourage and prohibit others from doing this; especially those people who would listen to what we say. It is not allowed for both Muslims and non-Muslims. Such a person who does this action does not leave the fold of Islam, but he will be considered a sinner.
