Cna Muslims believe in bad omen?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Whenever I decide to make a firm decision about something in my life, I always see a funeral pass by? Is it good or bad? Please clarify my doubt? Or is it just pure coincidence?

There is no reality to this. The passing of a funeral has no consequence or effect on your personal life; we would just say that these events are happening according to the Commandments and wisdom all of Allah. There is no proof that the passing of a funeral is beneficial or detrimental to anything in your life. Superstitions are not allowed in Islam; although gaining the good vibes from a certain action or object is allowed. There is no reality or base to consider that something is cursed, and then these objects or events have effects on our individual personal lives.
