Is wife not allowed to touch husband dead body ?

Few days back I went to funeral home as someone’s husband passed away in our family. I came to know that wife is not allowed to touch her husband body after he passed away. As I heard this thing for the first time I want to clarify about it.
If there is a need than one can touch it with hands to shower or to change clothes and there is no prevention in that.
