Gift returned & got more $ ?

My friend gave me a gift when my daughter was born. she bought it from wal-mart for $14. when i went to return it at wal-mart it came out to be $10. I returned that gift to K-B toys, and they gave me $40 for it because they had the same exact thing but they were selling it for $40. is it ok even though i bought it from wal-mart
