If a hanafi imam leads the asr prayer, based on the insistence of his shafi followers, after the shadow is only the size of the things, would this be right or not?

If a hanafi imam leads the asr prayer, based on the insistence of his shafi followers, after the shadow is only the size of the things, would this be right or not? If the hanafi imam repeats his prayer after the shadow is two times the things, what is the ruling of his prayer and the prayer of his followers?
The preferred saying is that the time of ASR starts when the shadow is two times the things. However, according to some sayings even after the shadow is one times the things the time of ASR would start and if the ASR prayer is performed in that time then it doesn’t have to be repeated. It’s not right to repeat the prayer once an imam has led that prayer because it would mean he is not confident that the prayer he led is acceptable.
