What is the ruling of the shariah about using toothpaste while fasting, would that be allowed?

What is the ruling of the shariah about using toothpaste while fasting, would that be allowed?
It’s “makrooh” or undesirable to use it, however if the toothpaste doesn’t go below the throat it will not brake the fast.
