Assalamualaykum.
Is it permissible to have a car and health insurance? My previously asked question about life insurance is not permissible. Can you please explain why health and car insurance are permissible but life insurance is not.

الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
Whether car or health insurance, both are “haram” (impermissible).
Where law requires to buy insurance for both car and health, it is allowed under compulsion.
However, there are certain places where car insurance is mandatory by law but not the health insurance. In that situation, buying health insurance will not be allowed.
قال اللہ تعالیٰ : يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَذَرُوا مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ الرِّبَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ۔فَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا فَأْذَنُوا بِحَرْبٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَإِنْ تُبْتُمْ فَلَكُمْ رُءُوسُ أَمْوَالِكُمْ لَا تَظْلِمُونَ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ۔(البقرۃ : ۲۷۸ و ۲۷۹
وقال : يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَأْكُلُوا الرِّبَا أَضْعَافًا مُضَاعَفَةً وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ (آل عمران : ۱۳۰
وقال : یَا اَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا اِنَّمَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْمَیْسِرُ وَالْاَنْصَابُ وَالْاَزْلَامُ رِجْسٌ مِنْ عَمَلِ الشَّیْطَانِ فَاجْتَنِبُوْہُ لَعَلَّکُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ(المائدۃ: ۹۰
وقال : یَسْاَلُوْنَکَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَیْسِرِ قُلْ فِیْہِمَا اِثْمٌ کَبِیْرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَاِثْمُہُمَا اَکْبَرُ مِنْ نَفْعِہِمَا(البقرۃ: ۲۱۹)
