Umrah hair cut

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Assalamualaikum,

For my first Umrah I removed all my hair with a zero trimmer. After 2-3 days I did a second Umrah and used zero trimmer again and removed my hair whatever little I had.
As hair were very small, whatever zero trimmer could remove, I removed them all. Can you let me know if this is correct?
Is Zero trimmer equivalent to razor?
Also to cut hair, is there any fixed length? I came to know that there is no fixed length and you either cut from entire head or shave.
As I used zero trimmer to remove hair (whatever I had) all over my head there shouldn’t be an issue. Please clarify

After that I did 3-4 more Umrahs and used a blade (in order to be safe), I want to know for future if I could use zero trimmer even if I have little hair?

To  make قصر trimming of the hair it is mandatory that the hair must at least be that long that one should be able to cut equal to one finger phalanx or more than that from one fourth of the head. If the hair are shorter than this then one must do حلق shave. If you did قصر trimming of this short hair then it will be mandatory to give دم sacrifice one lamb or goat. In the described situation as the hair do not grow that long in two three days, therefore, it will be mandatory to give دم sacrifice one lamb or goat.
