Assalam Alaikum,
I am resident of the Chicago area.
My wife and I have no kids or any immediate family members who can be Mahram, and my wife wants to go visit her father who is sick. I know that it is not permitted for women to travel without Mahram. I cannot travel with her due to my job. So, I would like to know what can I do in my situation?

As you already know the Shara’i ruling we can only give you suggestion that either you have some Mehram come over and send your wife with him or wait till your annual vacation or take short time off immediately or in near future and yourself travel with your wife.
