Effects of Evil Eye on My Sleep

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by ShariahBoard.org

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullah

I have been suffering from sleep disorder for past few days. Previously I was normal and alhumdulillah I felt no depression. I think the reason behind my condition is a friend’s nazar as he had a sleep disorder for a long time and he pointed out a number of times that I should sleep less. Therefore, we performed the method to rectify nazar by asking him to make wudhu and from that water I have taken a bath. Moreover I am listening to the ayat of rquiyah on a daily basis. Please advise what I should do in this case to rectify this issue.

Walaikumassalam Warahmatullah

The effects of nazr-e-bad (evil eye) are true, as it has been mentioned in the ahadith of Rasulullah Sallallaho Alyhi Wasallam. Therefore, you should read surah Fatiha, Ayat al-Kursi, surah Ikhlas, surah Kafiroon and maudathain (i.e. surah an-Naas and al-falaq), seven times each, every morning and night, and after reading, blow it on yourself. Also, put oil in your hair, and before going to bed, read the following supplications with reciting the Durood Shareef three times at the beginning and three times at the end.

After reading these supplications blow on some oil and put that oil in your hair.
