Supplication to increase ability to achieve a desired Goal
Question: Is there any particular dua to increase the ability to achieve a certain desired deed/goal?
Answer: Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I pray that you are well, insha’Allah.
Imam Nawawi (Allah be pleased with him) relates the following prophetic supplication in his Book of Remembrances (Kitab al-Adhkar):
“O Allah! There is nothing easy except that which You make easy; and You make the difficult, if You wish, easy (Allahumma la sahla illa ma ja`altahu sahla wa anta taj`al ul-hazna idha shi’ta sahla)”
اللهُمَّ لا سَهْلَ إلا مَا جَعَلتَهُ سَهْلا وَ أنتَ تَجْعَلُ الحزْنَ إذا شِئْتَ سَهْلا
A similar wording has been recorded in Sahih Ibn Hibban with an authentic chain of transmission.
