Assalamualaikum,
The bathrooms in the house are very big in wihch both the toilet and the wudu area are there. Before entering the bathroom we recite the Du’aa for entering the toilet, but getting done with the toilet when we go towards the wudu area then can we make an imaginary line between them that crossing that we recite the Du’aa of exiting the toilet area and then can read the Du’aas of starting the wudu?
الجواب وباللہ التوفیق
In the situation inquired about if there is distinction between the wudu place and the toilet area or the toilet area is so big that the bath or wudu area is so far that the bad odor of the toilet area is not felt there then the Du’aas of Wudu and of after relieving from the toilet can be read there. If it is so close that the bad odor is felt there then there is no permissibility for reading these Du’aas. Either you should read the Du’aas in the heart or read them coming out of the bathroom.
عن أنس بن مالك رضي الله عنه قال كان النبي صلي الله عليه وسلم إذا دخل الخلاء قال اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الخبث والخبائث. ( صحيح البخاري ت-رقم6322-ج16/68) (وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: «كان رسول الله – صلي الله عليه وسلم – إذا دخل الخلاء» : أي: إذا أراد دخول الخلاء(المرقات ج1ص375)
ما في ’’ مراقي الفلاح مع حاشیۃ الطحطاوي ‘‘ : ویدخل الخلاء ۔۔۔۔۔۔ والمراد بیت التغوُّط برجلہ الیسری ۔۔۔۔ و ۔۔۔۔ یستعیذ ۔۔۔۔۔ باللّٰہ من الشیطان الرجیم قبل دخولہ وقبل کشف عورتہ ۔ (مراقي الفلاح) ۔ وفي ’’ حاشیۃ الطحطاوي ‘‘ : قولہ : (قبل دخولہ) الأولی التفصیل ، وہو إن کان المعد لذلک یقول قبل الدخول ، وإن کان غیر معد کالصحراء ففي أوان الشروع کتشمیر الثیاب مثلا قبل کشف العورۃ ، وإن نسي ذلک أتی بہ في نفسہ لا بلسانہ ۔ (ص/۵۱ ، ط : دار الکتب العلمیۃ بیروت)
