Is the Fast Invalidated by Water Entering the Ears?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Seekersguidance.org

Question: Assalam alaykum

Is the fast invalidated by water entering the ears?

Answer: Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

No, the fast is not invalidated by water entering the ears because they aren’t considered to be a valid point of entry into the body.

The exception, however, would be in the case that a person has a perforated eardrum. In such a case, the fast would be invalidated by deliberately entering water therein.
