Marrying a boy who engages in salaami and mawlood

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If there is a boy who engages in Salaami and Mawlid, but everything else about him is favourable like akhlaaq and deeni consciousness, is not marrying him because of the ‘soofie’ side of him a legitimate reason to not marry?

Bismillaah

A: A marriage is a lifelong relationship and for the relationship to be enjoyable it is important that the spouses’ thinking is the same. If there is a contradiction in this respect then it is going to end up in disaster, fights, and quarrels.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
