- What do I have to do if impurity falls on food? If a small insect falls in milk, oil, what do we have to do?
i)if found dead ii) if found alive?
- If I found a kid urinating in a lake(no change in colour, smell, flow) or a few people bathing, washing, can I use that water to purify things? Can I use it to make wudhu ?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
1) If a small insect that does not have flowing blood (e.g. bug, fly, ant) falls into food, it should be removed and the food will remain pure and permissible, regardless if the insect is found alive or dead[1].
2) Those lakes and ponds which considered “a large body of pure water” (the surface area of which is approx. 225 sq. ft (20.9 sq.m) would only become impure once the colour, taste or smell of the water changes[2]. Hence, you can use the water to purify things and make Wudhu if the lake is falls under “a large body of water” and the impurity has not changed the qualities of the water.
