Cutting the hair that connect the eyebrows?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by SunniPath Answer Service Team

If you have hair that connects your two eyebrows(unibrow) is it allowed to cut the hair off in between? is the ruling same for men and women?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

If the eyebrows are linked in between, it would be permissible to remove the excess hair from in between to separate them [i.e. the hair above the nose]. The reason for this is that linked eyebrows can be considered ‘excessive’, hence it would be permissible to remove it.
