Does touching semen require ghusl?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

After I had performed ghusl I touched semen on my filthy clothes with my hands . Does this requires ghusl again? Or just wash my hand off.

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I pray this finds you in the best of health and spirits.

Touching filth doesn’t affect the validity of one’s wudu or ghusl. Rather, all one needs to do is to wash one’s hand or the area affected by the filth. This applies to semen and other filth as well. [ Shurunbulali, Maraqi al-Falah; Ala’ al-Din Abidin, al-Hadiyya al-`Ala’iyya ]

And Allah alone gives success.
