A dear friend returned from Halab (Aleppo, Syria). At dinner yesterday, he mentioned a beautiful saying of the scholars:

“Take a fatwa that is a means to felicity in the next life,

not merely something that pleases you in this life.”

خُذ فتوى تُنجِيك ، لا فتوى تُرضيك

And Allah alone gives success.
