Female Parties with Music & Dancing

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

What is ruling on going to graduation parties or birthday parties such as the ones only for women, but they have loud music and all night dancing?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Wa Alaykum Assalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful & Compassionate

It is permitted to celebrate birthdays as long as the event itself is:

free of the impermissible or reprehensible; not deemed to be necessary.

Women-only celebrations are fine, as long as there is nothing in them that contravenes the Shariah. As such, parties with loud music, heedless dancing and other matters contrary to the ways loved by Allah and His Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) would not be permissible.
