Clothes & body soiled by emission: does it require a purificatory bath?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Sohail Hanif, SunniPath Academy Teacher

If a man wakes up and finds a very little amount of dried madhi on him, does he need to wash his entire body? Also must he also change the sheets considering that they might be soiled?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu alaykum

Please refer to the link mentioned below to see the rules regarding a man waking up and finding his clothing soiled by some sort of emission. If he releases madhi (pre-ejaculate) he is not obliged to wash his entire body, rather he just washes the actual madhi itself. He is not obliged to change the sheets as he is not going to be praying on them. It is better to wash the sheets as they get soiled in case one should forget that the sheet was soiled which could lead to misgivings (waswasa) when cleaning one’s sheets later.

And Allah knows best.
