What is the difference between Salatul Duha and Salatul Shuruq? the different rewards/benefits… timing… reasons to make these two… please inform me I am extremely confused

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

The position of the majority of scholars is that the ‘ishraq’ (post-sunrise) prayer is, in fact, the very same as the Duha prayer. [Jassas, Ahkam al-Qur’an, 3.559]

The Ishraq prayer is not mentioned separately in the major works of Hanafi fiqh.

For details on Duha prayer: Search for term at www.sunnipath.com.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
