Why did you post the “Girls in MSA are so stupid” question?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I realize that the question was probably wasn’t serious, which is why the answer was meant to be a little on the light side of serious. However, it could have been a burst of frustration on the part of someone–which is why the Qur’anic verse could well have served as a reminder. There is also the possibility of it being someone in serious need of counselling and assistance–but such assistance is not realistically possible from a distance.

Thousands of Muslims, female and male, strive with manifest sincerity to promote the good through Muslim Students Associations (MSAs) and other organizations. Our duty as Muslims is to support them in their good and to recognize it through appreciation and through asking Allah to give them ever-increasing success. If we see shortcomings or errors, we should assist them through sincere counsel (nasiha), and overlook their faults–after all, are we ourselves free of all faults?

And Allah alone gives success.

Wassalam,

Faraz Rabbani
