Is it permissible to go on a post-marriage vacation or is it considered un-Islamic?

can i go for a holiday after marriage or will this be considered to be a honeymoon and a unislamic thing. the reason i wish to go is that after marriage i will be living with my parents and we the couple will not be able to spend much time alone.

please advise.

Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah’s guidance)

To live separately for more privacy or going for a holiday is permissible whether this is immediately after the Nikaah or anytime thereafter. However, this practice is not from the Sunnah.

And Only Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.
