Q: It is mustahab (optional) for the one who is doing qurbaani that he does not cut his hair nor trim his nails until their qurbaani is carried out.

A: It is mustahab (preferable, not compulsory) for the one who is doing qurbaani that he does not cut his hair nor trim his nails until their qurbaani is carried out.

عن أم سلمة : عن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال من رأى هلال ذي الحجة وأراد أن يضحي فلا يأخذن من شعره ولا من أظفاره (ترمذي 1/278)
