Covering the Head When Going to the Toilet

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Please explain how is covering the head a sunnah of going to the toilet.

A: There are several ahaadith of this nature that appear in As-Sunan-ul-Kubra lil-Baihaqi, vol 1, pg 96. Hazrat `Aaishah (Radiallahu Anha) has mentioned that Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to cover his Mubaarak head when relieving himself and when sharing the bed with the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat.
