Does the body of a Muslim decompose after death?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I want to know if a Muslim brother dies and if he succeded in giving the answer to the three questions in grave, what will happen to his dead body? Will it remain in it’s orignal form or will it decompose?

Bismillaah

A: The body is just a vehicle in the next realm. The vehicle does not have to be preserved. It can always be changed.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
