How should one perform salaah if one cannot find water to perform ghusal?

Q: If there is a shortage of water for like a day, and one has to do ghusal but he couldn’t, can he perform salaah like that or does he have to delay the salaah until he finds water to do ghusal properly?

Bismillaah

A: If he can make a fardh ghusl then he should do the fardh ghusl and then do the namaaz. Namaaz without ghusl is not valid if ghusl is wajib.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
