Going to a beauty parlour to apply make up

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Kindly advise under what limits can a woman do make up.

If a woman’s face looks unusual with dullness, black dry mouth, etc., can she go to a parlour to make her look fresh with facials and to remove her dullness, slight lip colors to invisible black or dry. Kindly advise.

Bismillaah

A: In principle we strongly discourage going to a beauty parlour. She may do it in the confines of her home provided the make up has no haraam or impure ingredient.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
