Q: I am a Chef. Is it permissible to work with haraam items, such as alcohol and pig. I don’t have to touch it with my hands or taste it. I can use gloves when I touch it and work with it. Please advice me if it is permissible as I’m working in a hotel restaurant.
A: This is not permissible. If you cannot avoid this, then we advise you to look for another job. Till you do not find another job, continue to make istigfaar and ask Allah Ta’alas forgiveness.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
