Q: Is there any niyyat specially for ghusl. I hear people say things like:
Niyyah for Ghusl Bath after having sexual intercourse. “Nawaithu an’ahthasila huslan minal’janaabathi wathahaarathan lil’badni waa’sthibaahathan lis’salaathi ashhadu’anlaahilaaha il’lal’lahu wa’ashadu an’na’muhammadar’rasoolul’lahi.
If I just say that I am taking ghusl to clean myself from janabat, is this okay or doI have to recite the above?
A: Making niyyat for ghusal of janaabat is not necessary.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
