Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: A friend of mine has his own busines, insurance broker. I am in the motor industry. If clients require insurance for their vehicles, I forward their information to him and he provides them with insurance and pays me R 1000.00 commission for every client that accepts insurance. I would like to know if I could use that money.

Bismillaah

A: It is not permissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
