Reciting Quraanic ayaats with the intention of Dua in the state of haidh

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to recite Quranic ayaats as dua’s in the state of haidh? For example reciting last verses of Surah Baqarah, Surah Al Imraan, Mu’awwazatein and Ayatal kursi before sleeping.

Bismillaah

A: Yes, it is permissible provided it is not done with the niyyat of tilaawat, but rather with the niyyat of duaa and istiaaza (seeking protection)

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
