Q: Is تخصر

1. Putting ones hand on ones hips or

2. Putting ones hands on ones waist

والخاصِرَةُ: الشاكِلَةُ، وما بينَ الحَرْقَفَةِ والقُصَيْرَى

From qamoos, 2 seems correct.

Bismillaah

A: Hips and waist are about one and the same thing.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
