At what age will children be held accountable for missed Salaah and sins?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: At what age are children held accountable for missed prayers and sins? I read an article about it and that it starts when boys begin wet dreams and girls begin menstruation. But is there Quranic evidence to back this up? If so please add it along with your knowledgeable answer.

Bismillaah

A: From the time they become baaligh, but it is obligatory on the parents to initiate them in namaaz at the age of seven and to be firm and hard on them from the age of ten.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
